What A Year

Wow….what a year! ….and a bit!

It has been ages since I have blogged but being deeply immersed in the summer holidays I need a little light relief as I am sure fellow parents will understand!

I have finished my year in the Money Gym and what a year it has been! Needless to say I have made some great friends and contacts over the year many of whom I have gone on to work with and partner with on different ventures.

I’m ticking goals off my list at an amazing rate.

Everything has changed and through the support and guidance of my money gym coaches and my change in mindset I am creating my life, as I want it.

I live back in London in an amazing house.
I own one buy-to-let property with another two about to exchange contracts – I’ve set a very achievable goal for five properties by the end of 2006.
I have a very successful Cleaning Biz which brings in £1000pcm (within 5 months) and which is ever growing. And I have just been offered the opportunity to grow this business astronomically over the next two years..
Bank Managers and Accountants chase me for my business when I go to networking events – and I STILL need to sort out an Accountant!
I am currently training as a PR Coach, putting past experience into practice in a delightful and exciting venture with Paula Gardner of Do Your Own PR.
Friends and acquaintenances of new and existing businesses ask my advice and support on their websites, internet marketing, and PR and on getting their ideas out there. I delight in giving it.
I have a beautiful website with tons of traffic and sign ups launching as a membership site in the autumn.
I have met some wonderful people with whom I have just a great spark and who are becoming great friends and business partners.
My son has finally got a place at a lovely local primary school and my youngest son has just received a place at a very friendly and very local nursery.
We have a nanny for holiday help and are making new friends and enjoying old friends in an area that we love.
Even my husband’s business is going from strength to strength and developing in a very exciting direction through the support of some of my new contacts.
My mindset has changed forever.  I will explain more in a future post.
I am currently exploring and developing 2 new and very exciting projects with 2 delightful and inspirational partners.
I have set a goal never to work in school holidays as of Christmas 2006 and managed to get my husband to have the same!
I am having French lessons again because I am finally over the “horror” of living in rural France for 5 months and am re-kindling my love of France - because I did love it once you know!!!!
I have written a 43,000 word E-Book featuring over 100 delicious, nutritious, easy and simple kid friendly recipes and have already sold 12 copies and got an on-line publishing deal.  The book is getting some very good testimonials from people that I like and respect. PLUS am working on an absolutely killer on and off-line PR campaign which is sending goosebumps of excitement down my spine as I write!
I have been offered a monthly column about kids’ food in another magazine and have written 2 articles featured in local press.  I’ve also been featured in 3 national magazines for Café des Enfants.

I still have to work on the regularity of the gym, pilates, thai chi and some time to myself but HAVE managed to uncover the most wonderful masseuse whose business I am now consulting on!  But she still gives great massages in between time.

Our Ultimate Dream Team launches in September and Philly and I are hosting an informal evening for potential members’ tomorrow night.
I am off to The Peak District to visit the gorgeous Lucie Storrs of Period Features fame to discuss and develop another new business venture.
I (an ex-VA, so this is a real coup!) am about to hire my own VA to delegate some of the more time consuming tasks to.

I’ve even got my Dad and grandmothers into property investment, my sister into charging for her freelance work, my husband into the stock market and my mum into The Cleaning Biz!  And I cannot begin to explain the unlikely hood of all these things happening a year ago.

Looking back at my postings this time last year I am caught up in taking action, making plans and trying to buy property.  What a difference! I have taken massive actions and am moving forward at a delighting speed.

I have set some pretty hairy scary goals for this time next year.  Here we go......!
